ANAOBABA.TV is a project run by two Syrian refugees with help from Sager der Samler. I got involved in this project through APPlab and am now helping out on a voluntary basis.
The fathers coming alone to Europe have left their wives and children behind in refugee camps or in war zones. The family are in a waiting position, where the only thing the look forward to is coming to Europe and being reunited with the father. ANAOBABA.TV is here to help the families in this tough situation. The name is Arabian and means “Me and Dad TV”. The fathers are sending short videos with everyday stories to their children. They teach the children about the language and the danish culture. In the process of making these videos, the fathers get help from danish friends and neighbors and gets to both stay active in the role as a father and build up a network in Denmark.
I immediately lost my heart to this project and have up until now primarily been contributing with preparing sketches of the application and the concept for a presentation at Integrationsnet. Going forward I will helping out with facilitation the design process of the app and be the technical and design related contribution in the project.
